The Marigny Opera House is an unaffiliated, non-denominational, neighborhood church and performance venue that offers community-based arts programs, and hosts 12-step recovery groups and writers groups.
It is supported by The Marigny Opera House Foundation, a private, non-profit foundation.

Andersen's timeless fable 'The Snow Queen', which has been set to a live score of original music. 'The Snow Queen' is the story of a child's harrowing journey to
young adulthood, overcoming adversity through the virtues of her curiosity and open-heartedness.

Bywater CDC initiated Hot 8 Brass Band Photo Project and awarded a $2500 grant to the
Dinerral Shavers Education Fund, a fund established in memory of Dinerral Shavers to benefit the cause of music education in New Orleans.
